Tiny Junction Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
Who is responsible
Tiny Junction is developed and published by the data controller:
- Finn Stefansen, Denmark
- Email: [email protected]
- Website: valis.dk
“We” and “us” in this policy mean the controller above. This policy covers the Tiny Junction app for iPhone and iPad and messages you choose to send us about it.
The short version
Tiny Junction has no account and does not use a separate developer-operated analytics or crash-reporting service. Your game progress and settings are stored on your device and are not sent to us.
Game Center and the Ad-Free purchase are provided by Apple. The ad-supported version uses Google Mobile Ads, which may process device identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions, advertising information, and diagnostic or performance information to deliver and measure ads. Depending on your region, Google’s privacy message offers consent, opt-out, or other privacy choices before ads are requested.
Once Apple confirms an active Ad-Free entitlement, Tiny Junction does not initialize Google Mobile Ads, invoke Google’s consent flow or request advertising.
We do not directly sell personal information.
Information stored on your device
Tiny Junction saves the following in its own storage on your device so the game works:
- Progress: completed and unlocked levels and worlds, the level you played last, your best result for each route (number of moves and the time taken), perfect-route crowns, which shape reveals, demonstrations and world celebrations you have seen, which tips you have seen, and whether a route was finished with a hint.
- Settings: sound effects, music, ambience and their volumes, haptics, and the motion (accessibility) preference.
- Advertising frequency: a running total of active play time and how many ads have been shown, used only to space ads out. This stays on your device.
- Ad-Free status: a cached yes/no and the date it was last checked. It only avoids ad screens flashing up at launch; Apple’s StoreKit answer is always what decides.
- Game Center queue: scores and achievements waiting to be sent to Game Center when you are offline (the leaderboard or achievement and the score).
There are no Tiny Junction servers, so none of this is uploaded to us. Your device may include the app’s data in its backups (iCloud or computer backups, depending on your settings). Deleting the app removes its data from the device, but copies may remain in earlier backups and reappear if you restore one. Progress is not synced between devices.
Game Center
Game Center is optional; the whole game is playable without it. If you are signed in to Game Center, Tiny Junction sends Apple your scores for routes finished without a hint (a points score worked out from your number of moves and the time taken) and your achievements. Apple associates them with your Game Center profile and shows them according to your Game Center settings.
To provide this, the app receives from Apple whether you are signed in and your Game Center display name, which it shows in Settings. It does not store your display name or player identifiers, and we do not run our own leaderboard server. Apple processes Game Center data under the Apple Privacy Policy.
Ad-Free purchase
Purchases are made through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never receive your card or payment details. To decide whether Ad-Free is active, the app receives verified transaction and entitlement information from Apple through StoreKit (for example, that the Ad-Free product was bought and has not been refunded). Restoring purchases also goes through Apple. Apple provides us with sales and financial reports through App Store Connect.
Advertising in the free version
The free version uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) directly. The app does not include mediation adapters or SDKs for other advertising networks. It shows two kinds of ads only: an occasional full-screen ad between levels, and a rewarded video that is offered only when you request a hint.
Information Google may process
When Google’s advertising is initialized and an ad is requested or shown, Google may process, depending on the SDK configuration, your region, your privacy choices, ad availability and the ad served:
- your IP address, and an approximate location derived from it;
- device information, such as model, operating-system version, language, network and the app’s identity;
- app- or developer-bounded device identifiers;
- advertising data, such as which ads you have seen;
- product interactions, such as ad views, taps, video views and app launches;
- performance data, such as app launch time, hang rate or energy use;
- information used for ad delivery, measurement, attribution, fraud prevention and security.
Tiny Junction configures the SDK to limit this:
- Google’s publisher first-party identifier is turned off.
- Google Mobile Ads SDK crash reporting is turned off. This switches off the SDK’s own crash-report feature; it does not switch off every diagnostic or performance signal described above.
- The maximum ad content rating is set to G (Google’s general-audiences rating). Google rates and selects the ads; this setting is a limit we request, not a review of each ad.
Google explains its processing in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
No App Tracking Transparency, no IDFA
Tiny Junction does not ask for permission to track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. As a result, Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA) is not made available to Google through this app. Google may still process app- or developer-bounded identifiers and privacy-preserving attribution information that does not expose the IDFA.
Your regional privacy choices
Depending on your region and applicable law, Google’s User Messaging Platform may show a privacy message and offer consent, opt-out, or other privacy choices before ads are requested. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland this is a consent message; in some US states it is a privacy notice with opt-out choices. Tiny Junction requests ads only after Google’s message step reports that ads may be requested.
Where consent is legally required, personalized advertising and the related storage of, or access to, information on your device are based on the choices you make in Google’s message. If you do not consent, Google may show non-personalized or limited ads where legally permitted, or no ads at all. You can review or change your choices at any time in Settings → Privacy → Privacy Options, which appears when it applies in your region.
What Ad-Free changes
The app first checks with Apple whether you own Ad-Free, before it touches any Google functionality. On a new installation or device, it waits for Apple to resolve the entitlement before deciding whether advertising services should be initialized.
- Ad-Free confirmed: Tiny Junction does not initialize Google Mobile Ads, invoke Google’s consent flow or request advertising, and shows no Google privacy message.
- Not confirmed yet (for example, Apple’s answer could not be verified): no ads are requested until a later check succeeds.
- You buy Ad-Free during a session: the app stops making ad requests right away and does not initialize Google’s advertising on later launches.
Buying Ad-Free does not delete information Google processed before the purchase; Google handles that information under its own policies and privacy tools.
The Google Mobile Ads library remains included in every copy of the app. In our testing in September 2026 with the Google Mobile Ads SDK version the app used at the time, an Ad-Free launch caused limited library-level network-address lookup activity, but we observed no ad request, consent request or advertising connection. We re-test this when the advertising SDK changes.
Diagnostics and analytics
We do not operate a separate developer-operated analytics or crash-reporting service, and the app does not upload crash reports itself.
If you have enabled sharing analytics or diagnostics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may provide us with crash, performance and usage reports through its developer tools. We receive only what Apple makes available there and use it to diagnose problems and improve the app. In the ad-supported version, Google Mobile Ads may process diagnostic and performance information as described above.
If you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message, any attachments, and ordinary email metadata (such as the time it was sent). We use this to answer you, provide support, handle privacy requests, and deal with legal or security matters. Our email is provided by Google (Google Workspace), which processes the correspondence on our behalf. We may disclose it where the law requires.
We normally delete support correspondence from our active mailbox within 30 days after the matter is closed. Deleted copies may remain temporarily in our provider’s backups or recovery systems. We may keep a message longer where needed for legal, accounting, security or dispute-resolution purposes.
Children and audience
Tiny Junction is a general-audience puzzle game and is not designed specifically for children. It is not part of Apple’s Kids category. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support email, contact us at [email protected] so we can address it.
Tiny Junction configures Google Mobile Ads with a maximum ad content rating of G. The app does not mark its ad requests as directed at children.
International processing
Apple, Google, Cloudflare (which delivers our website) and our email provider may process information in countries outside Denmark and the European Economic Area, including the United States. Where European law requires safeguards for these transfers, the relevant provider uses an applicable adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism. See each provider’s privacy documentation for details.

Legal bases
For the processing we control:
- Local processing on your device needed to save progress, apply settings and provide requested game features is carried out to provide the game and perform our agreement with the player, where that legal basis applies.
- Support correspondence is based on our legitimate interest in answering and supporting players, on performance of our agreement where your message concerns the app you use, and on legal obligations where they apply.
- Security, fraud prevention and debugging are based on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and safe.
- Personalized advertising, and storing or accessing information on your device for it, where consent is legally required, are based on the consent collected through Google’s privacy message.
Google determines the legal bases for its own processing; see Google’s privacy documentation.
Your privacy rights
These rights apply to personal information for which we act as controller, such as support correspondence. Most game data exists only on your device, so we have no server copy to retrieve or delete. Apple and Google control information processed through their services, and requests about it may need to go through their privacy tools or contact channels.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- have it corrected;
- have it deleted;
- restrict or object to its processing (including processing based on legitimate interests);
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time (for advertising, in Privacy Options), without affecting processing before the withdrawal.
Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority; in Denmark this is Datatilsynet.
Tiny Junction does not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Apple, Google and other service providers
- Apple: App Store, StoreKit purchases, Game Center, and optional diagnostics. See the Apple Privacy Policy.
- Google: Google Mobile Ads and the User Messaging Platform (free version only), and Google Workspace email for messages you send us. See the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not directly sell personal information. In the ad-supported version, Google and any advertising partners Google uses may process or disclose information for advertising purposes according to your regional privacy choices and their own privacy terms. The app does not include SDKs for other, mediated advertising networks.
Website
This policy covers the Tiny Junction app and messages you send us about it. Visiting valis.dk is separate. The site does not use a separate client-side analytics service. Cloudflare processes ordinary request, delivery and security information (such as your IP address, browser information, the requested page and the time) as part of hosting and serving the site, and adds small scripts for faster page loading and for protecting email addresses from spam harvesters.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when Tiny Junction’s data handling changes, and revise the date above.
